I guess the AP doesn't have much better to do than write sappy 900 word NIMBY articles about 1950's tourist attractions. This stuff sounds exactly exactly like the environmentalist wacko screams for banning logging operations and closing national parks to road constructionand oil/mineral exploration. As much as I like quirky little roadside attractions like that I still feel that it's the owner's right to sell it if he chooses.

Its his, he can sell it. Why doenst some historical society buy the building and put it up somewhere else. We do it in Texas all the time. The Ranch and Heritage Center in Lubbock moves building to their museum all the time.
