Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Exercising his 2nd amendment right

Quote:
BUFFALO, Minn. (AP) " The Wright County prosecutor said no charges will be filed against a Rockford man who shot and killed an armed intruder last month.

"In this matter, you have a justifiable use of deadly force," County Attorney Thomas Kelly said Wednesday. "As tragic as it is, that"s how it comes down."

Eric Cegon, 30, shot Erik Richter, 35, of Watertown, after Richter broke into the apartment Cegon shared with Richter"s ex-girlfriend in Rockford. Simons" and Richter"s toddler son was home at the time.

It was the second time Richter had violated a court order not to contact either of them.

The county attorney said Richter was armed with a loaded semi-automatic handgun when he broke into the apartment. He also had handcuffs and leg irons with him.

"Let"s just say that I don"t think anything good was going to come out of his visit," Kelly said.
Although I tend to agree with his actions, how does this man explain "Yep, I shot your dady" to the little boy? Tough joice I hope I never have to make.

I think it would be harder for the social workers/foster parents/adopted parents
to explain to the child that his dad tortured and killed his mom and his future step dad.

Errr...OK. Why? Anyone who can legally own a pistol in Virginia
can also openly carry itanywhere firearms are allowed in the state. There are other states with open-carry laws as well. I still have to ask why anyone would, though. Surprise is a good thing to have on your side when a situation goes from good to deadly.

If he hadn't shot, there might not be anyone alive to explain to.

A couple years back, a guy here drove up to his ex-wife's house late at night, past the 5:00 deadline on their return. He wouldn't come out of the car, and kept trying to call his ex-wife out to the car to get the kids. She thought he was acting strange, and called the law. When the law got there, the guy shot himself in the head. They discovered the three children in the back seat, all shot in the head by the ex-husband.

There are some sick, sick people out there. Better to shoot early than take chances, IMHO.

I believe that those same people should have every right to carry that same gun, openly or concealed, without a license as our Constitution intended.
