I agree, a slap on the bottom is not needed. Most of the time the childs actionsrequires a swift kick in the butt.

The funny thing about this, or as I see it. After about 3 or 4 years old, a spanking is not required as much. Its the primal way of correcting a child that has yet to acquire the skills neededto under stand anything but a spanking. I used a slap on the butt with my girls when they were younger. I have not had to spank them in years. The last time they got a spanking would have been at about the age of 4. Now taking privileges from them is much more effective.

It makes me sick to think that at this rate, the government will soon have more authority over theupbringing of a child than his or parentsparents will.

There is quite a difference between smacking and beating. The physical act might look similar, but there is a distinguishable different in the level of actual violence. Beating kids is already illegal. We don't need a law that bans all corporal punishment...

Bibically your supposed to let the people of your town stone your kid to death under the right circumstances. Put God inand that's what you end up with.

Let's not make this another one of your soap boxes Buster,you can raise a child with out God and they will come out just. Fine just as you can raise one with god and havethenm end up in jail or vice versa.
