OK, I agree that the video of Saddam's execution probably weren't suitable for mass consumption, but come on. Can anyone tell me that they though hanging was fun when they werea boy? Did anyone's parents not tell them that death is permanent?
There are over six billion people out there, and I suppose a few of them here and there are going to be stupid in youth and in adulthood.
RE: Kids Hang Themselves After Watching Saddam Swing
When I was a kid I had this neighbor that liked to pull jokes on his wife. One night in the barn loft he was going to act like he was hanging himself. Well, his foot slipped and so he was hanging himself, luckily his wife was there to save him. A few years later he was acting like he was going to shoot himself with a 22 pistol and graze the side of his head. So when he shot the pistol his wife ran in the room and freaked out but he was ok. A few years later and a new wife he was going to do the same thing with the pistol but this time he missed grazing his head and the bullet went into his head and killed him.

RE: Kids Hang Themselves After Watching Saddam Swing
Too much TV and internet for the kids today and not enough hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, ball games, and all the other things that kept me busy when I was young. Just like the Jackass show which when viewed by millions causes some copycat actions. Sad in my estimation.

The executioner's noose severed the head of Barzan Hassan, the former chief of Hussein's secret police, according to a spokesman for Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's office. "It was not like a very pretty scene," said Basam Ridha, who was one of the witnesses. Ridha said the executions were carried out with dignity and respect, and called the accidental decapitation "an act of God."
