I guess they were quite far away. Clearly, the excellent footage of the terrorists with the trucks near the field were much close. Amazing how those planes have steady line of sight over long periods of time.

Yeah, at cruising altitude and cruising speed, it's a lot more difficult to put a 155mm shell into the center mass than one might imagine. They're firing in three big dimensions.
Think about the ballistics tables these guys use...

I love seeing videos like that, where our boys are killing those ba$tards! There's one of our snipers taking a bunch out, but the filming is of the snipers shooting, not the bodies floppin.

I didn't see the video, but have an idea what is being talked about.
The AC-130 isn't accurate in the sense that we might think of limited to shooting bolt action rifles, but is accurate for its intended purpose. The fire control system is computerized and is programmed to put a round into every sq foot of terrain in its targeted area. No place to run and no place to hide.
