The controversial US air strike in southern Somalia missed all three top al-Qaeda members Washington alleges are hiding out in the country, a senior US official said on Thursday.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said eight to 10 "al-Qaeda affiliated terrorists" were killed in Monday"s attack, but gave no details.
[/align]On Tuesday the Pentagon confirmed that an AC130 aircraft was used to target "the principal al-Qaeda leadership in the region". The attack marked the first overt US military intervention in the Horn of Africa nation since its doomed invasion in the 1990s.
Is this Bush's aspirin factory?

The first attack was successful I hear, the second one that we are hearing about is probably another target for the same people inthe same operation...
Oh, it was reported that the first attack was withhelicopters was it not?
That's odd, I've seen reports and articles about two attacks, I'm sure there was a second air attack using a plane that missed the people targets... I think it was fox that had the articles...but I could be mistaken.
Clinton blows up an aspirin factory to distract us from Monica. Who is to say Bush didn't do the same before announcing his surge of troops in to Iraq.Especially when we are increasing and it looks like Britian is going to pull thousands of troops.
Our coalition

Islamic militia has been driven out of Mogadishu, sothey call for a guerilla war campaign against the Christians and Ethopians. The legitimate Somali government has asked for help fighting these jihadists, and as we have a stake in the fight, we strike.
Whatever happened, it resulted in dead al Qaeda. Someone please tell me what the problem is here?

Have no problem withnthem killing Al Queda. Just thought it was funny it was reported we had killed a guy when no bodies were recovered and the timing of the attack.
Was obviously psyched when I read they had cut a head of the snake. No I read they got a couple easily replaceable scum. Still a good thing.
For a wag the dog attack.[8D][8D]
