After looking at the size of this US embassy. What is the purpose of being so big and do you think our troops will ever come home or will they be occupying that country forever. I believe we will be occupy that country forever by the looks of that embassy. And we will be controlling their oil.

It will be bombed. Demos are in power, we will be coming home sooner than expected.

I dont think our country is interested in occupying any country. If that were true, ***an would be ours. What a stratigic foot hold. We bombed them to the stone ages, then rebuilt their country, just to give it back. Now they own us.

It's going to be theheadquarters for the entire middle east operations.

There will be military folks in there as well right?

Maybe housing on one end and a mall on the other...a resort if you will !

I can walk the length of the National Mall in less than 20 minutes (traffic accomodating)...two-thirds of that is not really that much land. Second, there are still people trying to kill us. Most of that space is going to be just that, to maximize the distance between us and those trying to kill us.

We also don't want everyone watching and whispering about the actual engineering and layout of the buildings. Secrecy is essential to prevent us from being attacked as effectively.

And again, we don't control Iraq's oil and have no way of doing so. Business is business, and it's on a free market.

I'm open to the possibility, but at this point you're just speaking in hypotheticals.

We control the air, we control the security, and we control the construction. This is not just some mundane building project with people swinging hammers out in the open with people going by.
