Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Bush Will Address Nation Wednesday

WASHINGTON"” President Bush will detail his new Iraq strategy in an address to the nation Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, the White House announced Monday.

Bush's new policy for Iraq is likely to include an increase of troop levels in the country as well as establishing a set of benchmarks that the government there will be expected to reach in an effort to stabilize the country in the face of heightening sectarian tensions, FOX News confirmed Monday.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,242314,00.html

Bush's proposal is expected to add as many as 20,000 American troops through extending deployments and bringing reinforcements in early. Most of those troops would head to Baghdad to try to stop neighborhood violence but some Marines -- likely two battalions -- will be placed in al-Anbar province.

The president's plan also may suggest supplementing much-needed reconstruction and a jobs program for Iraqis with a $1 billion investment.

"I think we need to keep in mind the goal there is to win," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. "And the definition of winning is to have a reasonably stable government that's an ally in the War on Terror, that is stable enough to allow us to begin to draw down our troops. ... I think to basically begin to withdraw before the job is finished is a mistake. If the president recommends what we seem to believe he's going to recommend, I intend to support him."

...this should get interesting....I wonder if congress will stop the fix and start the blame game ?

I see it the same way. More troops won't change a thing except give them more to shoot at. Bush would be better off to initiate a fixed plan with a firm timetable to wean the Iraqi government off the US. That would be progress for both countries. They will never stand on their own with us there calling the shots.

It will never work by adding more troops. How many translators do they have? We can't understand their language and what good would it do us without translators? We can't go kickin in every door or go house to house without translators. I see it now. 10,000 troops following one translator as they go door to door.LMFAO. It would be easier if everyone was our enemy over there. Just shoot them. No translator needed. This I think is one of the biggest problems over there. Lack of translators. We don't know what the enemy look like and we can't win with more troops being sent there.

My question is this:

WHY ON EARTH DO WE KEEP ANNOUNCING TO THE WORLD WHAT WE'RE GONNA DO?

Am I the only one who thinks that is a DUMB idea? Kinda like handing our hind ends over on a silver platter don't you think? I know he's not gonna release every detail of his plan, but come on! He shouldn't realease ANY until we're done right?

Hey James everyone that doesn't agree with Bush is a liberal Democrat.

Whipping him. How can you not crticize his, Border policies, spending billions on the war with no way of paying for it were looking at overa trillion dollars before we see any light at the end of the tunnel, getting us in there with no exit strategy(stay the course) wasn't all it was supposed to be.Immigration policy(if you want to call ita policy).

Guess that's why it's good to be independent voter, you can just go by their record.

Voted for Bush twice will never vote for the lesser of to weevils again.

I voted right myself. I have not had a lot to say for a while but the Bush Bashing about things that nothing can be done about. Has got to me. Its like when my children first started buying and listening to their own music in the house. They couldn't afford much selection and the same old damn song got pretty hard to listen to.

While I am at a disadvantage amids all the military and political experts here, I can seldom find more than an occasional thread of truth or facts in most of the garbage mouth stuff I hear. Time is the only thing that will tell the final story here and if you study American history, you will find that things didn't go to well here either. I seem to remember a civil war somewhere back there. Well things may turn out the same there or it may not. Call me stupid but I will do what I can when I can and wait to see the results of the rest.

I didn't vote for Bush either time.
