Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Soaped Fence Lines (Your thought's?)

We are having a lot of the private farms being leased for huge amounts of money, $65/acre/week. The outfitters are putting soap on the fences in an attempt to keep the "big bucks" in.

Your thoughts?

It's their property...they can and should do as they please.

I doubt that soap alone is going to do much toward keeping these bucks from moving, though.

Money screws up whatever attracts it.

dude, are you kidding about the soap?

The only thing I know of that brings the bucks around and keeps 'em there is lots of doe's and lots of food...

I think it could be construed as harrassing wildlife which in California is a violation of fish and game laws.

Or it could be construed as promoting better hygiene for them.

$65 per acre per week...where do I sign up. Soap included...how can a guy fault that.

Soap: We use all the time in my back yard. Deer don't like the smell or something. It keeps them out of the wifes flowers, but I NEVER tried it on a fence line.

As for $65/acre/week, I don't have $6,500 for 100 acres for just one week.

For those approving of this method, how does it differ from "high fencing?"
