Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Who's the best on the ticket?

Who do you think would make the best running mates?

I think McCain for President, and Guiliani for Vice President.

If Guiliani is running forthe Vice Presidency, then that could get some moreof the Northeasternvotes, and that kind of duo would almos have aguaranteed ticket to the White House.

If Guiliani runs by himself, he stands no chance of getting the Republican nomination.

See, if the Democrats select Hillary Clinton along with someone else, then the Democrats will have selected a plain old partison.Meanwhile McCain and Guiliani are some of the most bi-partison Republicans out there.
Just my 2 Cents.

Any thoughts? Who would you think would be a great duo to run, that you would vote for, and would make a good President, and Vice President?

Rudy is pro gun control I believe. He did well as mayor during 911 but I wouldn't want him in the whitehouse or even a heartbeat ....or lack of away.

I am not worried about Hillary. We are not ready for a Queen here. McCain is a maverick and Rudy is, well, left of many things that party activists like. The primary here will be interesting. It is notable that our state GOP put a pro-choice senator in the leadership of the state senate. Thus, at least in this first primary state, the GOP is rethinking some issues.

We will see.

At this point I think Rudy may be the next president. If you want to see some of the old line southernRep. turn purple just ask them who they will vote for if Hillary and Condaleza (sp?) are the last two choices.

The 2008 presidential possibilities at this point make me shudder. No candidate has emerged that will get my vote. No Democrat is even close. I can't vote for McCain and I absolutely WON'T vote for Guliani.

Unless the Republicans put someone forward who better supports my views than those two jokers, I'll be voting Constitution Party in '08.

How about another 4-8 years with a Bush? Things are going so well and it isn't all that far from Florida to Washington....

They all seem pretty poor choices to me. The 2008 election will most likely be a battle of moderates, that is, if either party learns its lessons about blind partisanship. The problem is that moderates tend to be weak when it comes to standing up against opposition on critical issues. I'm not the kind of guy who admires people who straddle the line to please everyone at the same time.

I might have to go back to the Libertarians...
