"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

Yep, hook line and sinker,, many Americans bought it though I never did and still don't.
Bring'em home. Don't continue to believe the lies

We can't bring them home yet. We are still looking for an excuse to invade Iran next. Then we will need them close by for when we do. What's wrong with you? They are not comming home under king george and we will be in war with Iran before the troops will be allowed to come home. If it was passed to bring our troops home next week. We would be attacking Iran tomorro. Promise you this.

A better question is how willBush get us out of Iraq? The way it is going if a Bush gets us out of that hell hole then it will be Jeb way down the road....God forbid. Georgeis running out of time and so are we. I hate to see it go the way of Nam when we finally retreat in the midst of civil war and the fall of Saigon. We didn't learn a darn thing since 1975.

Efferd, your post is disgusting.
Good Grief, Shame on you.
Slimy is the word that keeps coming to my mind.
If you insist on making such a twisted comparison, then Hitler could have probably used you. You might have fit right in with his bunch.

Ifferd the truth is that Saddam did his very best to convince the entire world that he kept some WMDs.
The truth is that the USA wasn"t the only country with intelligence gathering groups that believed Saddam retained WMDs. (Even Russia also believed Saddam retained WMDs)
The truth is that Saddam was still supporting anti America terrorist groups.
The truth is that Saddam still hadn"t complied with the U.N. mandates.
The truth is that Saddam was weekly shooting at American pilots doing the U.N."s bidding.
The truth is that Saddam was still massing troops on the boarder in a very aggressive fashion from time to time.
The truth is that as the man that is sworn to protect America (The President), if you are going to make a mistake you had better do so in favor of the safety of your country.
The Truth is that had GWB not done anything and in fact Saddam did retain some WMDs that wound up being used against America".you would have been screaming to have GWB"s head on a platter.
Because you so glibly use Hitler"s quest to conquer the world by some of the cruelest means the world has ever seen to GWB making the wrong call on Saddam retaining WMD is disgusting and slimy.
You and I both know why you made the comparison.
You did so to try and equate GWB with Hitler"s evil in people"s minds.
The two men are not at all like one another. You know it as well as any other reasonable person does.
What you are trying to do is slimy and disgusting.

Bush Now Says What He Wouldn"t Say Before War: Iraq Had "Nothing" To Do With 9/11
President Bush was in the midst of explaining how the attacks of 9/11 inspired his "freedom agenda" and the attacks on Iraq until a reporter, Ken Herman of Cox News, interrupted to ask what Iraq had to do with 9/11. "Nothing," Bush defiantly answered. Watch it.

Ifferd- What did he lie about?? Whether or not Iraq had WMD?? Is that what your saying??

I believe it was about a specific horrific weapon that could hit the united states in 45 minutes and make a big smoke cloud for all to see. Yet we continue to read about a goat in school when America was attacked.
