It's a meteorite, people! What is wrong with New Jersey? Gawd,read a book.

Read the article'slast sentence. Duhhh! Lol, sorry, I just found this ridiculous. I can imagine Chief Wiggum holding a press conference in downtown Springfield, inciting reporters to ooh and ahh at the mysterious, easily indentifiable (by appearance and process of elimination), and not all that uncommon object.

Mrs. Six suggested it might have something to do with tardfarmer's missing tinfoil hat, but I sincerely doubt it.

Space junk are simply meteorites of human origin. But come on, what non-radioactive metal do we use in space that has that density? Things sent up on rockets are built with weigh efficiency in mind as a top priority, not to mention that it would have to have been very large orginally to be the size after re-entry. Space junk is a possibility, but an unlikely one.
