If Only you were here!!
You too could enjoy the aroma that comes from twenty pounds of jerky slowly drying over my wood stove. I can not think of a better use for one of the back straps from this years elk.
What a way to start the yew year!

The making of maple syrup is the only other smell that compares the the aroma of drying jerky.
Two of life's greatest odors.

Mmm, Mrs. Six finished making some wasabi jerky last night. Goooood stuff...although it's made with horseradish, notbona fidewasabi.

That just leaves more elk for me.
Eating all those greensalways gives me gas anyway !!!!![:'(]
Elk jerky goes very good with cold beer!

just putting the finishing touches on a venison and sausage fricassee for dinner. it's smelling very edible.
