Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Baathists: 'Grave consequences' if Hussein's hanged

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The Baath Party, the political movement that ruled Iraq during the Saddam Hussein era, is warning there will be "grave consequences" if former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein is executed.

Saying it would hold the United States responsible, a message appeared on al-basrah.net Tuesday that read: "The Baath and the resistance are determined to retaliate in all ways and all places that hurt America and its interests if it commits this crime."

......oh for pete's sake, just hang the man already...then if these worms come out of hidingto try to cause chaos, grab 'em and put 'em in a worm bucket...then go fishing....LOL

Yeah, like there haven't been grave consequences for anything over the past couple of years. Kill the man and keep killing his followers when they pop their heads out of spider holes to murder civilians and bomb our forces.

I feel that by hanging Sadam it will just serve to further infuriate the people from all over the region. Even though he was convicted by an Iraqi court and will be executed by the Iraq government the US will be blamed since we occupied the country. My bet is that top US officials are hoping it doesn't occur for a while because they know it will ratchet up the fighting and probably promote attacks on home soil.

Hang him like the punk thug he is. Yada yada yada with all the threats - "belly of the beast" "mother of all battles" etc. We've heard it ad nauseum and it should have no effect.

Lawyer to World Leaders: Stop U.S. From Handing Over Saddam to Iraqis for Execution
AMMAN, Jordan"” Saddam Hussein's chief lawyer implored world leaders on Thursday to prevent the United States from handing over the ousted leader to Iraqi authorities for execution, saying he should enjoy protection from his enemies as a "prisoner of war."

.....ok so if they get their hands on him they'll do fun things to him as punishment...coool...

or

they will let him go deep into the underground again....and the US Troops get to play once again, the Iraq version of where's Waldo ??

Because they are essentially an army of rats, ducking into holes whenever humans approach. They play nice during the day and murder at night. It's about time we stopped with the kid gloves crap and started blowing key places to hell (mosques, hospitals, and other "off limit" sites used to plan, stage, and carry out attacks). I used to stand up for the average joes on the streets, but if they're not going to lift a finger to crush these terrorists, then they're part of the problem. I'd make a simple ultimatum--either you help wipe up these turds, or we will, and next time we won't stop because some civilian happens to be in the way.

Very few Iraqis are militants, but a great many of them tolerate those who are because of ethnic loyalties or a lack of backbone.

I thinkSaddam's hanging should be on Pay per view, with all the money going to the sons & daughters of the men & women who have lost their lives fighting to free a group of people that refuse to free them selves.

I should say that I have a tremendous amount of respect for those who are trying to help their country and their people.

My boss told me abouta friend of his doing private security work over there who hired a 14 year old boy as a scout. This kid killed several dozen insurgents during a day long fire fight at an outpost in Anbar, to the point that he was stripping mags off of dead bodies to replenish his ammo. The guy tried offering to adopt him and take him back to the U.S. when his contract is up in a few months, and the boy said that's he's going to stay and try to make sure there is peace in the country. Not only does this kid have a heart, but he has some balls as well.
