Duke Rape case dismissed ....... but .....

The Associated Press reports a defense attorney says prosecutors have dismissed rape charges against three Duke University lacrosse players, but charges of kidnapping and sexual offense still stand.

The stripper got caught in a lie, the DA knows he screwed up BIGTIME and they've at least dropped the rape charges but not the kidnapping and sexual offense ? GEEESH I cannot BELIEVE this DA is still in office, that blows my mind, what idiot peoples voted for him ? I mean, the entire black community should be held accountable for trying to lynch these young white men based on what they had, and who they had it from. They (all of them) have attempted and succeeded in destroying the lives of 3 men from which they'll never likely recover.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Prosecutors dropped rape charges Friday against three Duke University lacrosse players accused of attacking a stripper at a team party, but the three still face kidnapping and sexual offense charges, a defense attorney said.

Joseph Cheshire and attorneys for the other players have said for months the woman told several different versions of the alleged assault.
Cheshire said Friday that the accuser now says she does not know if she was penetrated, which he said led District Attorney Mike Nifong to dismiss the rape charges.

Nifong did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
The accuser, a 28-year-old student at North Carolina Central University, has said three men raped her in a bathroom at a March 13 team party where she was hired to perform as a stripper.

The players -- Dave Evans, Collin Finnerty and Reade Seligmann -- all say they are innocent. Their attorneys have consistently said no sex occurred at the party and have cited a lack of DNA evidence in the case as proof of their clients' innocence.

"It's highly coincidental," Cheshire said, that the charges are being dropped a week after the director of a private DNA testing lab acknowledged that he initially, with Nifong's knowledge, withheld from the defense test results showing none of the players' DNA was found on or in the accuser's body.

Testing also showed that genetic material from several males was found in her undergarments and body.

She doesn't KNOW if she was penetrated ? Good GAWD why didn't she say that 9 months ago ? Why lie the whole time ?

Oh, thats right, she was expecting the 3 players to pony up $$$$$$ to drop it all and when they didn't she got caught in this huge lie that the DA Nfong and black communities have demanded.

Now, she's ready to give birth to a baby she probably doesn't even know who the father is, and her world is crumbling down around the worst lie she ever told, and the DA is trying to weasel out as best he can to save face.

But hey, the Rainbow Coalition at least agreed to give her money for a 4 year scholarship huh ? She made out with something anyway, while the young men have lost a great, great deal

They ought to be prosecuting HER for filing false charges. But then, everyone (well, not everyone... just the usual suspects)would be screaming "RACIST!!!!"

Seems to me that skank POS should have to pay the lacrosse players'attorneys' fees.
