Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Salvador Deputies Favor Troops in Iraq

San Salvador, Dec 11 (Prensa Latina) Despite the disaster of the Iraq occupation forces, El Salvador's Legislative Assembly's Defense Committee passed judgment Monday for Salvadorian soldiers continuance in the Arab nation for another year.

This decision recognizes El Salvador President Antonio Saca s statements on Friday to send more troops to Iraq in February.

Saca ordered members of his party to approve his request, ignoring recent suggestions of a bipartisan US commission to the White House to withdraw from Iraq in the first quarter of 2008 at the latest, considering the serious and worsening situation there.

According to Colatino daily, the committee determination will be endorsed on Thursday in the plenary session.

Since August 2003 El Salvador is the only country in Latin America with troops in Iraq.
