BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Coalition forces killed 20 insurgents, destroyed weapons caches and arrested seven suspected terrorists in two security sweeps in Iraq on Friday, the U.S. military said.
In a third operation, more than 1,000 British and Danish troops launched a raid in southern Iraq on Friday, according to The Associated Press.
The spokesman for the coalition in southern Iraq -- British Maj. Charlie Burbridge -- called the operation the largest in southern Iraq since the war began in March 2003, AP reported.
