Not that I agree with all of President Bush's decisions, I think this panel is nothing more than another festering circle jerk of party-policy mud-slinging distraction tactics. I could be wrong. We'll have to wait and see.

Well at least they may be learning from the past. Last time they let 58000 servicemen die before they tucked their tails and ran home. This war is a drop in the bucket in comparison. I fear Bush will listen to some of their crap and either kiss Irans rear or just pull a Kerry and limp off. As said before, time will tell. I guess we can fight them here instead. One thing is for sure, we will be fighting the terrorist far into the future. The rumor that we are creating more terrorist is the biggest crap crock on the planet.

The fact is this commission was composed apparently entirely of people who did not have the judgment to oppose this Iraq war in the first place, and did not have the judgment to realize it was not a wise move in the fight against terrorism. So that's who is doing this report. Then I looked at the list of who testified before them. There is virtually no one who opposed the war in the first place. Virtually no one who has been really calling for a different strategy that goes for a global approach to the war on terrorism.

Another question:

what were your thoughts as the news of the invasion of Iraq broke ?

I think the Iraq experience has uncovered the nasty middle eastern ways that the Arabs have been hiding from the rest of the world. It has exposed the sunni-shiite conflicts, palestinian/syrian/lebanon issues and Iranian regional domination to the forefront !

There will never be any proof one way or the other. Time and history might answer that someday but until or if that time ever comes, it will be a matter of opinion and lord knows there are plenty of those. The one thing that is known is that the war in Iraq NOW is sure a war against terror because them are crawling out from under every rock in the middle east to fight us there.
