And why exactly would they do that? Blind trust of our enemies to the point of not protecting this country against nuclear missile attacks? Unless they came up with a better alternative to thwart such attacks, this is infuriating!

Cuzz it doesn't work. We don't have the technologyto do it, and probably won't for another twenty years. I have a few friends who worked in missile defense for a tour or two. It has kind of been shoved under the rug for a while now.

I know one thing. All my friends at NSA are quakin in thier boots cause they figure in two years, it will be business as usual with defense falling off the charts again.

I agree with BC there is no doubt that they will gut our defenses. We have to stick to the MDS or we will never perfect it. The Dems have a short memory, this is what got them kicked out last time. That and raising taxes. Well thats ok they can try it again and see where it gets them. If they don't get us killed first.[:@]

All GWB has to do is Veto the bills send it back so they have to get a 2/3 majority which they can't do right?

Or do you think they will piggy back this onto other bills?

I agree JamesB. Charlie has some good points that will hopefully stop them from making us defenseless. Hey AlaskaMagnum, didn't we just have good success on testsseveral months ago when theNorth Koreans were testing their missiles? I just confirmed with people that indeed, our tests did work on several occasions. How can you suggest it doesn't work when we have successful tests? Also, technology is getting better and better going forward, so may require little additionalmoney to make the system MUCH better.
