Default High winds in Ohio

We're experiencing some of nature's finest displays of strength right now. High winds, rain, 60 mph gusts, puctuated by periods of sunshine.

I love foul weather. If we could harness the energy of the wind, we'd never need gasoline again.

Yeah, I can see trying to get to work in my sailcar on a calm day. Tacking back and forth trying to catch a little breeze... And, I wouldn't be able to call in and let them know that I'm on my way and I'll be in about Thursday, because it'sillegal to use my cell phone while driving...

Mother Nature is putting the hammer down on us a few clicks north of you, VC. Heavy rains and winds, freezing rain turning to snow as we speak, gusts past 40. I have to get on a ladder and crawl up two stories to cover the dang fireplace vent that's leaking for some odd reason. [:@]

just hitting PA now, forced me to cut my hunt short by a day. high winds, thunder showers, and then the temp is supposed to drop by 30 degrees.

good stuff. been in the woods all week, got my eleven year old boy in front of the fire reading and drinking cocoa, while i slurp coffee. we're both beat, and i'm ordering delivery tonight, i think.

I'm headed to the lease tonight. Two weeks ago when we were there, the daytime temps were in the high 70's. This time we expect freezing temps when we hit the blinds in the a.m. My thin-blooded southern boy son is already suggesting that he might rather stay home.

dang, wish we could trade (temperatures, not kids). i just finished the warmest week at deer camp in 3 years. day time highs in the mid 60s. my boys were complaining of the heat. weather kept the deer bedded and mostly nocturnal.

good luck at the lease.

My traps are under two feet of water and my street is littered with broken branches. So, we are catching hell on this end of Ohio as well.

Well I was heading out to scare some whitetails. Was going to leave this evening and hunt the morning, but I decided to slurp cocoa too.

I let the help go home early and advised my guards to watch for limbs falling on their guntowers.
