well i dont know if this is the right forum but here it goes.I was thinking of joining the army in the next week or two and was wondering if there are any good things that somebody could say about it.Because i enlisted in the marines in highschool and left 8 days after grad for bootcamp.Well needless to say on training day 12 they found some things on me that i forgot to mention to them like i had asthma as a baby.I was tested and nothing was wrong with me but they still discharged me for failure to disclose all medical information.Well its been 2 yrs now and it has been bothering me every day that i should be serving my country. So my question to you guys are how would you compare the marine corps boot camp to the armys boot camp?I dont know if you guys can help but thanks to all of those who do.
The Marine Corps' boot camp is 13 weeks while the Army's boot camp is only 9 weeks (a month shorter). As a former Marine, I am quite proud to have served in the Marines. Although I give friends who served in other services some ribbing, I also very much respect their service to our country. It's probably too late but you might consider asking a Marine recruiter if they can waive the earlier application and allow you in after this much time has passed. If it's too late, go serve our country in the army with honor, dignity and pride. May God bless you and keep you safe! Semper Fi young man.

If you're certain you know everything, there's little opportunity to learn anything.
The marines know only one phrase in Latin. Think about that.
The army is so cliche.
The Air Force is a sad compromise.
The Navy guys get invited to all the parties, get all the best women, get the best seats in all the restaurants, and are on the A list for fashion and all around style. Just a higher class of people all the way around.

That's because when you're partying, we're busy fighting a war
Anyway, the army has made their bootcamp easier, there is virtually no yelling, and you can do push-ups on your knees during PT if you get tired. And you're allowed to drink soda and eat dessert. I read an article on it, maybe I can find it online. Whatever choice you make, good luck.
I would say any branch of the service would be good. There are opportunities in all, however I would say the Navy& Air Force have more technically oriented opportunities. Whatever you choose, God Bless!
