Walmart Boycot called off

The American Family Association, which had been asking supporters to stay away from Wal-Mart on Friday and Saturday "” two of the busiest shopping days of the year "” said it was pleased by a statement the company issued Tuesday.
While stressing its commitment to diversity and equality, Wal-Mart said in its statement that it "œwill not make corporate contributions to support or oppose highly controversial issues unless they directly relate to our ability to serve our customers."

Didn't even know a group was calling for a boycott. Wonder how mnay would have stayed away?

I don't think you could get a big enough group to boycott wally world anyway.

Personally, I think it's silly. I may not like their policies or people they contribute money too, but they just want to make money. The safest way they can make the most money is the way they will go. More power to them. If wally world supporting a particular group sways my opinion, I have no business forming one of my own anyway.
