Whats the big deal whether someone wants to have sex with a man or a woman. I believe equal rights were given to blacks a number of years ago when they were thought of as second class citizens. Just because someone wants to be with someone of their own gender, does that make them a second class citizen? No. There is such a big fuss over gay marriage, whats the big deal? If a man and a woman get married and make eachother miserable, nobody says a word, but if a man and a man want to get married and make eachother miserable, it's suddenly a national crisis. Please explain what the big deal is I really want to know. I do not want to hear any religious mumbo jumbo either, this is politics not religion....

But thank goodness, there are not many like you that condone a sick twisted lifestyle like that and being gay.
Yeah, I'm all for gay marriage. It doesn't affect me in any way so I don't have a problem with it. Also, why would you deny a person the right to marry another when we don't even know if it's a choice or if it's in their biology? It could be in their genes and not giving them the right to marriage is just as bad as not allowing blacks to marry whites back in the day.

01) Beinggay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
02)Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
03) Legalizinggay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful ifgay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children.Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
07) Obviouslygay parents will raisegay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
08)Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10)Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I don't quite understand why this is always the next logical step for you religious and/or conservative types. A dog cannot consent, so it is in no way in the same ballpark. Same goes for the other similar argument that it will lead to pedophilia. Beastiality and pedophilia are illegal because animals and children cannot consent.
Beastiality and homosexuality bear much less similarity than a straight couple and a gay couple do.
