Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Adapting to a changing economy!

http://today.reuters.com/misc/PrinterFriendlyPopup.aspx?type=bondsNews&story ID=2006-11-13T164731Z_01_N13425989_RTRIDST_0_ECONOMY-FED-FISHER-UPDATE-2.XML

I have several times on here mentioned the need for American workers to adapt to fit the changing American economy, here is an article that drives that point home and it is not talking about a shortage of "Technical" people to fill jobs, but jobs that are "skilled and semi-skilled" jobs.

In other words if some one has lost a factory job it would not be hard for them to learn how to be "welders, plumbers, truck drivers, and workers in the hospitality industry". These are not high tech jobs that require a ton of training or schooling, simply a will to learn and possibly relocate.

Default RE: Adapting to a changing economy!

People don't want to do those jobs anymore. Everyone wants to go to college and make $300k a year. College is ruining America. They teach them just enough for them to think they know it all, when in fact all they know is some other idiot college graduate's opinion.

The only good thing about college is the keg parties and chicks. But you can do that without going to classes.
