If it walks, talks like a conservative, can it be a Dem?

CNN) -- Brad Ellsworth opposes abortion and same-sex marriage and is an Indiana sheriff who very much believes in the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
And he's coming to Congress as a Democrat.
"We're a pretty conservative bunch, and I think that I fit right in with those values of the people here," said Rep.-elect Ellsworth.

Conservative democrats are not unheard of , the "dixiecrat" is a great example of what dummycraps used to be and still could be if they'd just reject liberalism as the crap that it is and embrace a more realistic platform . This country as a whole is fairly conservative , even the liberals are if they aren't being fanned like a stubborn lump of charcoal .

This will be an interesting dynamic; whether the conservative democrats who were elected & gave the democrats the majority will hold true to their conservatism or will roll over & follow the democrat leadership in a leftward move. Many of these races were very close - razor thin margins of victory. If they make the mistake of falling in lock-step with a liberal agenda, it is unlikely the voterw who swung their way & those who sat this election out to allow them victory will be forgiving.
