It was the only way for W to go at this point. The whole party needs to re-evaluate and make a plan to be competitive in 08. It will take that long to undo the damage. More to come.....watch for a softening on the stance with Iraq. BTW I called that one earlier this morning. It was the only path open after yesterday. It is called damage control and was the easiest thing for George to do.

He was fired. The funny thing about it is if George had canned him a few weeks ago it probably would have been a message tomany Republicans that change was in order within the GOP and many of their votes might not have been deflected towards the dems.
