RE: Congress and the House
Tenure seems to make a lot of difference. The longer you're there, the closer you get to the plum positions, particularly if you toe the party line. Queen Hillary, of course, got to rise faster because of her relationship to Slick Willie, and the MONEY raising that comes with the name.
By the way, for future reference, it's the Senate and the House, both of which together constitute the Congress, although, for some reason, members of the Senate are called Senators, while members of the House are called either Representatives or Congressmen.
