Here are my views on being a conservative in my core beliefs. What are yours based on your view of yoursocial and political beliefs? Why can't we start a party based on our core beliefs?
1. The constitution means what it says. If you don't like it, work to
change it.
2. All laws should be written so most people can understand them,
inplain English.
3. Average people should be appointed Judges. There will be no need to
interpret the law, because it is in plain English. The Judges job will be
to insure the truth is the object of the proceedings.
4. Lawyers will be obsolete. (see 1,2&3)
5. Gun Control will be taught in schools. Proper handling, firing, and
safety techniques should insure there are no out of control guns.
6. Allable bodiedcitizens will enter the military after completion of high
school.
7. If you are gay, I don't want to know about it. The End!
8. Taxes should pay for expenses that do not include The Arts,
social, or religious programs.
9. TheUN and NATOwill become sports bars with Jumbotrons on
each floor unless the member countries decide to actually
work together.
10. The Departmentof Education will find the secret to
educating someone. Someone should learn something usefulwhile
being educated.
11. There are winners and losers. Some people work harder than
others and they succeed.
12. I think abortion is wrong and it is murder. However, I will wait
to see if my religious beliefs play out and how/if judgement is
passed.
I don't think it's necessary for everyone who can to join the military. It's likely the most effective & best trained fighting force this world has ever known much in part to it being voluntary.
On serving in the military, I believe this would give everyone the experience of what it means to serve their country. I would still allow them to choose their MOS if they are qualified. As far as being happy, have you ever heard of soldiers not bitching about something? No, I don't/didn't like the idea of gays in the military. Doesanyone know of a way to prevent this? What is the difference in don't ask, don't tell and not allowing gays? They are history either way if found out.
Why do we need someone to interpret laws? Isn't the idea to write a law to prevent or allow certain behaviors? Isn't thatthe problem we have now, that personal beliefs are being interpreted into the law? It may be over-simplifying things, but shouldn't laws be applied strictly as they were intended/written? If they need ammended to include or remove ideas, so be it. Nothing personal to any lawyers, but if most people are not capable of understanding laws as they are written, are we not creating a special class of citizen?
I would make sure firearms instruction was taught by qualified persons. I also have been to parent teacher conferences.
I admit I wasextremely vague/wrong on the issue of social programs. It would be impossible to eliminate them totally. It would also be unwise. I was referring to current social programs that should be left to families/individuals.Some form of social security and welfare should be improved/implemented. I'm sure we can all think of social programs we would like to see improved or eliminated.
By starting this thread , Iwas trying to get a feel for your sentiments on current conditions/ideas without all the I hate (place political party here). There is a lot of good information to be gleaned without all that crap.
6. Allable bodiedcitizens will enter the military after completion of high

It should be coed then...Why do gays get to shower with men in the army and the straight guys cant shower with women???
