Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Reps asking for solution to Iraq

Been drinking the jack here abit and was thinking about how the reps want a solution to Iraq....
Now you ask for solutions ,,screw that,,over and over and over you gung-ho revenge for 9/11 types were warned ...You were warned that there were no wmds and that there would be civil war and chaos in the middle east if the region were to be destabalised ... You were warned,,And then you were warned again ... But you refused to listen to sound advice ... And now you come like humpty dumpty expecting a solution ... Some things dont have a neat solution.. So given that background,Where do you come up with this theory about bitchin without a solution is worse than thescrewing it up in the first place ... Dont ya think that kinda mindset is just a littlescrewed up...How i would be judged on a software project .... Again i refer to the business world ... IF the board of directors of a listed companyscrewed up big time,, guess what ? The shareholders boot them out.. They dont reappoint them....
But noooOOOOO ... Thats not how you psuedo conservatives think is it??? No it has to be ass about elbow wiyth you guys ... Reward incompetence with re-election ... How moronic.... I say any idiot who gave this president a blank cheque / check for this LIE of a war should be booted out. .. That includes democrats and republicans ... your representattives abdicated their sworn duty ... they ceded the power of the people to a mainiac president whio LIED your country into a pointless occupation killing thousands of americans wounding thousands more ... and set our country onto a path of financial ruin....
Only afreakin moron would reward that level of extreme incompetence with re-election ...No incumbents on Nov 7,, Isay fire anyone who voted for this war....Dems or Reps... Time to clean the house....

We can fire all of them but don't think for one second that we would get any better ones in return.

I thought there was democrats and republicans on the security committee? I thought they made the decision too? Didn't all the democrats and republicans vote for the Iraq invasion? Not only for suspected WMD, but for blantant disregard to UN resolutions?

So when the democrats and republicans both voted to invade, do you really believe they were duped? Do you really believe Senate committee on Intelligence doesn't get the same intelligence reports that the president does? Do you really believe the committee on armed services do not get the same intelligence the president gets? To sit on those committees, do you know what kinda clearance you need? Not just any senator can get that info or sit up there or representative. Or the house arms service committee. Were they duped too? Both equally dems and repubs? Do you believe the senate armed service committee just sit there and say, "the president gets better intell than we do, so we are just going to have to trust them". And then later the dems say, "W lied to us".

Hey they all voted, W sat up there on TV and told the US this was going to be long and drawn out, and expect casualties. When questioned how many, many speculated thousands, (thats about right), everybody shook thier head yes, they could deal with that, until it happened, and Americans got squeamish, and American just couldn't stomach the TV blasting the dead's names up there over and over and over. Then everybody started pointing fingers. Boy the dems wasn't when American's was backing it.

I feel I have some insight on how things work here. I may be wrong. I work or worked with alot of people who were insiders in intelligence. It comes from working in the Baltimore/Washington corridor. One of our board of directors is an admiral, another boss I had was a Captain in navy intelligence. Another co-worker worked at the white house for years, and worked at NSA for years and years and is back there again.

They look at these reports and say, "hey its politics, everybody who was anybody had the info, and fed it down what they could without giving out classified material to their fellow congressman or senate". Everyday, there is a report by all major entities, thisjust does not go out to the president. It goes out to several committees and only a privledged few are privy to it that sit on these committees. And yes they are dems and repubs. The president usually gets this material in person if important at the time. At least this is what I hear.

But smoke, you go onin your fantasy world believing that democrats had no part in any of this and they were poor innocent victims the whole time only believing the president.

I am not totally convinced about the lie part. Screwed up? maybe. got it wrong? Possibly. It wasn't only our intelligence that couldn't find the centerfuges, or deadly gas labs. British secret service is just as big as ours and possibly is more plugged in to the middle east than we are. They all took the bait and ran with it.

What I am saying is if there was a lie going, not only did W do it, but so did all members of Senate Armes Service committee, Congressional Arms Services, and all others who got or gets the daily intelligence reports.

If it was the first part and a huge massive screw up, sure everybody is covering for itor milking it politically as much as possible. Tony Blair tried the straight up approach, and sorrys and all that, and it didn't work out too good for him. After 9/11, we all wanted blood, we were all ready to go down the street and kick some butt. America was so for going into Iraq. And then thier anger settled down. Now everybody is pointing fingers. America just doesn't have what we used too. We just can't stomach too much bloodshed for the sake of the greatness of the US.

We don't know what goes on at NSA or CIA between closed doors. We can only speculate. If it was a huge screw up, I myself do not want to see our country go under trial for war crimes, and that would include members of the security council, not just W. We can still hang on to the fact that Iraq was not compliant with UN resolutions and something had to be done. Sadam had to be removed from power.

You know my old boss said before this war, that this is about alotmore thanmeets the eye. He's the one that used to work in Navy intelligence. Long term investment for oil, and strategic position.Guys its going toget worse. Peace is a thing of the past, as a country, might as well start planning for a good position in the line before the others know whats going on.
