LONDON, England (CNN) -- The cartoon series South Park has never been shy of courting controversy, but its latest episode has caused outrage by featuring the recently deceased Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin.
Swearing and random death and destruction are staples of the cartoon, which has been broadcast since 1997. Irwin, killed by a stingray's barb while snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef in September is the latest celebrity to be lampooned by the show.
The episode, aired in the U.S. earlier this week, shows Satan preparing to host a Halloween fancy dress party. Other guests include Princess Diana, Hitler and rapper Notorious B.I.G. Critics have been appalled by the Irwin character's depiction in a bloodstained shirt and with a stingray still attached to his chest.

RE: South Park mocks Steve Irwin
Bad taste yup but that never stops South Park from doing their thing. From my perspective it is a waste of my dwindling brain cells to watch that show.

It's a pretty sick cartoon, at least it was the last time I saw it (long time ago).

Funny as hell IMO.....
Ifferd, I find it ironic you enjoy a cartoon that makes fun of a man that was a hero of sorts to a lot of people, killed in an accident that left two young children fatherless, but you thinkRush Limbaugh is just awful for making comments about M.J. Fox?? Interesting.

Typical South Park.
LBR, I believe there is a big differnce between this and Rush.

Lol--oh well--if can't handle my comments, just ignore me. Guess I had you "on the ropes" one too many times.
No matter--the hypocracy is blatent and obvious.
Just for those reading, Iffy once again posted a false insinuation, concerning "bait and ban". Anyone that has a question concerning this, or anything else I do, is more than welcome to p.m. me.

I can see LBR is posting, but the "red hand" took care of his tripe for meÂ*many days ago. I got tired of the "break the rules and ban" bait and switch game.
Guess he doesn't mind wasting key time on what won't get read?
Funny..............but a sad waste of time.
Post away!
You say this with such pride, but honestly Iff, I can't help but see your actions as leaning toward the immature side. I guess I've never understood the blocking of certain member's posts - especially in this forum. What's the point? If you don't like one's comments or criticisms, fire back or don't reply at all. There are certain members that I hold little respect for and have learned to read their comments with a grin, but to block them? I guess that red hand is there to be used, but I think it only shows one's weakness by using it. Just my opinion of course.
Anyway, as for the topic, I think I'd rather watch reruns of The Golden Girls than South Park, but they do often take a political stance I can get behind. This Irwin deal though, well it's typical South Park, but in bad taste.
