Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default A new low for Limbaugh?

On another thread, I pointed to the insidious filth that is politics in 2006 America:

From Cnn....
(NEW YORK (AP) -- In a response to charges by conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh, Michael J. Fox defended his appearance in recent political campaign ads, saying he was neither acting nor off his medication for Parkinson's disease.
On the contrary, he had been overmedicated, the actor said during an interview aired on Thursday's "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric."
"The irony of it is that I was too medicated," Fox told Couric, adding that his jumpy condition as he spoke to her reflected "a dearth of medication -- not by design. I just take it, and it kicks in when it kicks in."
"That's funny -- the notion that you could calculate it for effect," he said. "Would that we could."
The 7 1/2-minute interview with Fox, whose shaking at one point dislodged the microphone clipped to his jacket lapel, aired in two segments taped Thursday afternoon on the "Evening News" set. (Watch fox tell Couric that he doesn't want pity -- :32)
Fox drew some conservative criticism after an ad began running in Missouri during the World Series. It showed Fox visibly shaking while urging fans to vote yes for stem-cell research and Democratic Senate challenger Claire McCaskill -- and no to the Republican incumbent Jim Talent. (Watch the visibly ill Fox make a pitch for McCatskill -- 2:35)
"They say all politics is local, but it's not always the case," Fox says in the 30-second spot. "What you do in Missouri matters to millions of Americans -- Americans like me."
Fox, who supports research on embryonic stem cell for a potential cure for Parkinson's, also has lent his celebrity to Democrats Rep. Benjamin L. Cardin, running for the Senate in Maryland, and Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle, who is seeking re-election. Both politicians also back stem-cell research.
The ads triggered a backlash, with radio commentator Limbaugh claiming during his broadcast that Fox was "either off his medication or acting." Limbaugh called Fox "really shameless" in his effort to stir up sympathy. Limbaugh apologized later in the broadcast. (Full story)

Rush is a balistic idiot - that is to say he excels at accelerating from a stand still washed up loud mouthed talk show host to absolute fool in a matter of seconds.

As for Fox, who cares who he endorses. I'm sick of celebrity involvement in politics. Of course, I'm actually more fed up with the people that listen to their tripe consuming it as if it's from a lofty, must-be-true, valid source.

Sorry, I missed it If. I was on the go yesterday.

I did catch a few minutes of Rush's comments.

For a guy who has had his own share of problems, he was brutal in his attempt to discredit someone who sees the potential of a controversial issue.

Never liked Rush. Even if Fox was acting it up, or doing as he has in the past by not taking his meds to prove a point, it was tastless to attack an persons affliction. With that said, the Demo party is painting this stemcell issue with way to broad of a brush. They need to quit grouping all stemcell research together, as well as get the facts straight. Stemcell research is not restricted in any form, but the harvesting of embryonic stemcells is banned. In other words, no more killing embryos to harvest stemcells. Now before someone points out the over abundance we have due to abortions, im prolife so you will never sway me to the notion. Even if you are not prolife, the idea of people getting pregnant for the whole purpose of selling their embryo is too hanis to imagine. Or at least in my ideology.

Look at the facts. Rush is a criminal who admitted he used illegal drugs. He lost all credibility with me due to his lies and attempt at cover-up over that fiasco so I don't listen to anything he says. I can't imagine why any network would still air his bombastic tirades. He is a true blowhard and doesn't deserve the bandwidth. He needs to quit his day job and get into politics....he would certainly fit right in.

I agree Champlain. I never liked him, even before he was exposed as a hypocrite. After the exposer, my dislike was further increased.
