This is beyond disgusting. Even Howard Stern doesn't go this low.

A few things:

Howard Stern does go that low and lower, I listened for years.

Drugs -- yep a hypocrit. Hypocracy happens -- both sides. Good thing Rush isn't a politician.

Having Parkinson's and being a drug addict are both health related disorders/illnesses/problems ... however you want to classify them. One fellow uses it to further a polical agenda, the other does not. Not approving of Rush's tactics, but it is a fact, none-the-less.

I don't recall that Rush ever claimed to be a "compassionate" conservative.

About compassionate conservatism. It is a philosophy, or subset of conservativism. I don't think Rush ever joined that philosophy -- he has railed against its influence on policy decisions on more than one occasion, I believe.
