BUT, I question how far its swinging this cycle. It is looking like the Reps might hold on to the Senate and maybe even the House. I would have to laugh considering how hateful Pelosi and Co. have been as of late.
With the insane antics of the liberals in the dummycrat ranks it quite frankly surprises me that they retain any seats at all in either house sometimes . If they were any more socialist they'd be speaking French ...
I actually see the pendulum swinging further to the right this time , the public seems apprehensive of the liberals of late . Better the devil you know as long as the reps don't totally blow it .

all politicsis local. if the pendulum is swinging the Ds way, is it perhaps because they are fielding candidates (and i'm not talking about the "cold dead hand of new england politicians" who currently run the party nationally) who are more moderate than Ds of the past? (he said hopefully)
based on the hateful rhetoric coming from the left, and based on the fact that they're acting like they've already won the election that hasn't happened yet, I'd be 'off my meds' to even consider voting Dummocrat. Not that I'm any happier with the Repugnicans, but they're the lesser of two evils, and seem to be less wacko and on more of an even keel. I just can't support that nut Pelosi, have ALWAYS hated Schmuckie Schumer, and cannot stand the sight of the Cape Cod Orca, Ol' Teddy the Swimmer. Can't do it... I'll vote where the pendulum swings right.
About the only time recently when democrats have won on a national scale is when they've ran to the right of the republicans - which can only be done with a weak or tired republican. This is much of why Bush 41 was defeated in '92 - he was weak, tired, & had broken his word. Clinton did not win by running to the left.
If the democrats win the majority this time, it's because enough have ran to the right enough to beat the republicans. Peggy Noonan had a good story on this, making the comparison of this election year to 1992. The democrats will not run by running on a leftist agenda - they have to appear conservative.
