As the elections draw near, I suggest you look at the NRA's grade of your state's candidates, do not vote for anyone with under an A rating, as it is with every election, we must continue to support the people who support our Firearms and Hunting rights, so get out there and vote for the right candidate, someone who will help to preserve our rights once again, and also watch out because we must also not allow the anti-gun crowd to win, and folks I hate to say it but how you vote could very well depend on the kinda of world your kids will grow up in, possibly a world without guns or hunting, I hope you all take time to read this and give it some thought as you go to the boot, Thanks for your time.
Actually, I think that the worst thing someone can do is vote strictly based on one issue. There's a lot of moving parts to good government. Ignoring all but one would be disasterous, IMHO.
That said, please don't vote strictly on party lines!

mountainhunter I concur with what you have said to a point, but there are certain issues for different people that are crucial in making a choice between 2 different candidates, an example would be anti-gun vs pro-gun....
I will pick the pro-gun every time and just deal with the other fall out.
Now if both candidates are pro or anti gun, then obviously other things will come into play as far as who gets my vote.

It amazes me that both sides, Democrat and Republican, conveniently ignore what they don't wan tto see and refuse to see the legitimacy of the arguments they make when they hear them used to defend something they disagree with.
That's why I'm an independent. Also, I don't want any party taking my vote for granted!
