WASHINGTON "” The U.S. military's top officer said Thursday that the Pentagon would have sufficient forces to win if called on to fight a war in North Korea, but the conflict would be more difficult without the intelligence and guidance systems devoted to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Marine Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that about 200,000 U.S. troops were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, leaving more than 2 million troops available for a war in Asia.

2 million troops??? China will not let US forces or tolerate us on their borders,no way in hell... This would be suicide for our troops...Why do you think china entered on behalf of NK in the first place in the 50s??

Same reasons they supply fuel ,food etc now &they dont do anyhing aginst them now(but if they become a treat to them(china) they might tho).

I doubt if it comes to military action that there would be an invasion of NK. China is so heavily dependant on trade with the US, I also doubt they'd want to jeopardize that to save Kim's hide. If the did, what would happen? We'd have to conserve our cheap plastic stuff & then may learn that we can make those things again or buy them from somewhere else.
