Default Does the majority allways win

I'll bet this was a surprise to NBC.

NBC POLL

Do you believe in God?

NBC this morning had a poll on this question. They had the highest
Number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the
Percentage was the same as this:

86% to keep
the words, IN God We Trust and God in the Pledge of Allegiance
14% against
.

That is a pretty 'commanding' public response.

I was asked to
send this on if I agreed ordelete if I didn't.

Now it is your turn
..It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God.
Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such
A mess about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having
God in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Why is the world catering to this 14%?

AMEN!

If you agree, pass this on
,

In God We STILL Trust

Got this in mail today...

The majority isn't always right , which is why we live ina representational republic , not a democracy . Democracy is just a bs term for mob rule .

Oh??!!! You didn't get the memo either?? Nowadays the minority always has the advantage. No really, come on 14% ??? I agree, why is this even an issue? Hell, I believe the Constitution contains the word God also, next thing they will want that changed. This is THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, love it or leave it.

One of the great things about the US is that rights of the individual are protected fromthe tyranny of the masses. This shouldn't be taken as a blanketpass to the whims of a minorityopinion.

When it comes to the issue of the phrase "In GodWe Trust" being on money....I don't see how someone saying they trust in a higher poweris an attackon an other persson's differing opinion. It's a BS issue.Whenever I see this, I silently wonder if this is the biggest fish they have to fry.

And..its a long way from the establishment of a state religion, the other big bugaboo from many people who think they're smarter than everyone else theyknow.

well said. I for one believe
a) "In God We Trust" should not appear on our currency, and
b) in relative importance to my everyday life, the former ranks somewhere below whether or not i'm gonna buy single or double ply toilet paper next time i go to the store.

Me personaly i think 2 ply is best- but i dont care what color it is or if it has designs or slogans on it etc

Glossy paper magazines(nd cataloges)dont workas well either or burn as nice at other papers.

Would that be the moral or nonmoral "majority" smoky?

Some of those polls on god etc i have seen have been pretty strange.

A belief in god- and the powers of crystals- native animal mystism& gromes.?

But to each his own-thats totalyup to themselfs(the majority or theminority)& not me what the believe.

Either way i could care less what they put on the money

I don't have to eat a sheit sandwich just because you and 90% of the rest of the populace chooses to , nor do I have to leave the country because our respective opinions differ . I also served 4 years in the Navy because I happen to love my country , did you serve at all ? BTW , if the Constitution contains the word God I haven't seen it , have you ? Perhaps you've confused the Constitution with the Bill of Rights , which does contain a reference to "endowed by their creator" , and which you have also rather obviously not read recently .
