Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Just wondering...

I was sitting and pondering yesterday while waiting to pick off a few squirrels. I was wondering about with all the discrimination complaints you hear about all the time, how it is that some pricing methods go on with out some kind of law suit. I'm over 55 so I often get a reduced price for meals, hotel and other things. Lot's of times admission to theaters or some events is lower if you are under 12. Also seeing this is a hunting forum. How is it that residents of a state get to pay less than non residents. Sometimes clubs have a women get in for free night. Seems that if I owned a store and set prices based on the customers age, sex and/or where they live I would be strung up. Anyway, I'm not ticked off about any of it and I can even understand the motives behind the desire to charge different rates based on what seems to be pretty arbitrary and discriminating criteria. Just puzzeled how its legal. I'd be curious what others think.

Default RE: Just wondering...

So in the interest of fairness you'd be willing to forego your 10% discount at Denny's ?

"Ladie's Night" at bars has been challenged umpteen times in nearly every state , and usually loses , business owners have a lot of clout . Charging less for kids than adults certainly seems fair , except at restaurants where they usually eat the adults under the table . I feel that non-resident hunters should be charged something closer to resident fees personally as it would generate more revenue due to the increased number of hunters visiting the state , but I don't see that one taking off . Why are any of them legal ? Who knows ...
