Gulliani Vs. Dodd for 2008.

Dodd just started on ~8/15, and is a close friend of Clinton. I don't think he would have initiated anything until he knew of her status---I don't think she's going to run.

And whether you like it or not, Gulliani is the closest politician we can label a moderate in a very, very longtime. He will garner support from the 3rd party voters, the GOP and the DNC parties. If he runs, he WILL most likely get the Oval Office...IMO.

I guess thats my point we have a choice of going from bad to god knows where.The only redeeming quality Wya has is his support for gun ownership.

Not sure if we can call Gulliani a "moderate" if he does not support gun ownership, sounds a little lefty to me personally. I will NEVER support someone who wants to strip my rights, especially gun rights. [:@]

The question would come down to who is worse on the issue, Klinton, or Giuliani. Hopefully the party leadership can get Giuliani to toe a more conservative line on gun ownership. He recently became a name partner running the New York office of a Texas law firm. Perhaps a few Texans can slap some sense into him on the issue.

It seems like the entire Dem. party touts gun control all day long, and history proves they will push to make junk legislation limiting my gun ownership rights, I can't buy into that.

There are a few on the left who support our rights, Rep. Gene Green from the Houston area being one. And there are some on the right who are less supportive, i.e. Giuliani. So, it's best to get a particular candidates actual views as opposed to simply voting red or blue... Gun control is a hot button issue for me, and anyone favoring more than what we've already got won't get my vote.

In fact it is THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE for me. I wish it were a "non-issue" and that both sides would just respect our rights. BUt, as it is, I must vote to protect what I consider our most important right (because it insures all the rest).

The real problem is we don't have a man with a set big enough to take on the real issues of today.

Gun ownership is only a small piece of what makes this country great.If we can't get the leadership to guide us through these troubled times I don't see a bright future for our kids.

What about the boarders?
What aboutdeficit spending?
What about energy for the future?
What about s.s. costs?

The list goes on & on and we aren't being objective enough to force a candidate to answer these though questions.
