Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Dems push Rumsfeld no-confidence vote

Rumsfeld has said he has offered his resignation before, and Bush has refused it. The president said in April that he wanted Rumsfeld to stay, declaring, "I'm the decider."

Creating Don Rumsfeld as a bogeyman may make for good politics but would make for very lousy strategy at this time

Are these Dems out of their minds?

Good old fashioned politics, one party forcing the other to express confidence in some one a lot of people do not like just before mid-term elections.

Both sides of the political spectrum play the same game, they have done it for years and will continue to do so.

i was unaware that we were a parliamentary form of government. exactly what effect would such a vote have? the prime minister call for elections in 60 days? and since we don't have a prime minister, would we have to borrow harper?

I hear ya boysda, I just find politics in general very wacky, Canadian Politics amongst the wackiest......I guess I am kinda shocked that they'd target Rumsfeld like that...

It doesnt surprise me at all with the dumbocrats. Afterall they are the terrorists best friend and ally . They totally lack the courage and cahoneys to fight any war to win it. I sure would never trust them with my safety.[:'(]

No, the democrat party in its current incarnation can never be trusted with national security - they have shown & continue to show that their leadership does not take national security seriously.

No solutions, no ideas, just attacking... That's what today's democrat party has become.

Yesterday I was watching a program and they said Bushs speech yesterday giving up the info about th CIA prisons and pushing for the military tribunals was also an atempt to take the publics eyes off of Rumsfields no confidence vote. They worded if better and it made a lot of sense, seemed like a pretty good strategy to me and it was working, heard a few blurbs about Rumsfield but the President was on every station all day.Even if it wasnt the reason for the speeches it came out at a good time to do some damage control and focus people on something besides that.

And to think...we are paying these clowns. If someone could think of a way to take the partisanship out of politics we might actually get something constructive done. It will only get worse as both sides posture for the up coming elections.
