I think a little respect for his family would go a long way. Is this something that his children really need to see (and they will eventually if it's broadcast)?

Wow. I really don't think it's a good idea to air that footage.
I was deeply saddened by news of his death. Moreso than for the death of any non-relative that I can recall. I was a real fan of his show, and very much admired his commitment to animals and conservation. My heartfelt condolences to Terri, Bindi and Bob. Those kids are too young to lose their father. Hopefully, Steve's millions of friends and fans around the world can help ease their loss.
Cal I agree with you, I have no need to see it, to me if what they are saying is true, it shows a side of Irwin that was not his good side, I would imagine that it was more his ego talking when he made statements like they say he made about the camera should never stop rolling.
ipsdshooter I to was saddened by his death, he was a great conservationist and loved animals, one side of him that I feel they tried to push into the background was he hunted, it was brought out in his very early shows, but I feel trying to gain more donations for his cause he quite making any reference to his hunting to appease every one.
I would imagine his wife would put a stop to it being broadcast, but who knows, she may allow it if she feels it was his true feelings that the camera should never stop rolling.

"My number one rule is to keep that camera rolling. Even if it's shaky or slightly out of focus, I don't give a rip. "Even if a big old alligator is chewing me up I want to go down and go, 'Crikey!' just before I die. That would be the ultimate for me."
A testimony to the selfishness and stupidity of this man.
I would watch it out of curiosity of how it happened, but have nothing but respect for him. He was a great man who meant well and did well for our collective cause as hunters, and that is the concept of conservation instead of preservation.

I was not aware he hunted.
