Irans dead line up
Do you think any action will take place. I dont. Think about it. They are setting on large amounts of oil and they know it. Russia, China, and France will not lose their oil, so the U.N. will be null and void on this matter. Iran is going to be allowed to keep on with their nuclear ambitons, and there will be nothing we can do. As I see it, Israel will be forced to do all the dirty work. We are bogged down in Iraq, and we will not get any support from any other country but Israel, so I see no other way. We might fight a war by proxy through Israel but we will not set foot their.
And all the pipe dreams about an Iranian uprising is just that, a pipe dream.
What do you all think.

Russia , China , and France are all permanent(voting) members of the UN Security Council , and all are dependant upon Iran for petroleum or have big money deals with them at stake like they did with Iraq.What are the odds ?

Just wait... The UN will eventually threaten them with sanctions... maybe do that for 10 years or so, then perhaps even sanction them with something but work out an "oil for food" deal - and you don't think Iran is scared of that? [:'(]
I agree with Russia, though not in the way they want, about sanctions. Sanctions are worthless because the offending country will find a way around these sanctions because there are other countries who will get in bed with them. I'm sure Russia & China want to keep the oil flowing but are not really "happy" about the possibility of a nation like Iran joining the nuclear club. I'm not sure they would be unhappy if Iran's nuclear facilities were obliterated. As we type & read the US has forces on 2 sides of Iran, which pressures them & makes them nervous. I don't know if we will take out the Iranian nuclear capability or if Israel would do it. Iran has stated they want to erase Israel from the earth & their support of islamic terrorism underscores their willingness to try & make that happen.
I agree with most of the posters here that there are other countries who support or are friendly with Iran which would either stop or water down a U.N. sponsored set of economic sanctions. Besides, Raghead Central in Tehran has threatened dire consequences if sanctions are ever enacted. I believe it will be Israel which will defend itself with a pre-emptive strike and we will support them amidst all sorts of protests from the milquetoast EU; then, with US Military personnel in harm's way, our own liberal press will follow true to form and accuse the administration of everything from lying to profiteering at the expense of the lives of US Servicemen and Servicewomen. It's just a matter of time before that ball of string unravels one way or the other.....

Besides, the monkeys in Iran don't have the technology for long range (intercontinental) missiles so only Israel is within striking distance for them. So, Israel will bomb them into camel s**t , the hornet's nest will be stirred up, and anti-Semitic Europe will be all uppity over it and condemn Israel's actions. It's amazing how Europe could play with the Arabs/Muslims in this way; by their actions in the 1930's, they SHOULD all be speaking German today and the EU should be singing "Deutscheland uber Alles". It seems they've still not learned that appeasement is not the way to go....
