Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Prejudice or just cause?

Saudi Man Gets Prison Time in Housekeeper Slavery Case in Colo.

CENTENNIAL, Colorado"A Saudi man convicted of sexually assaulting an Indonesian housekeeper and keeping her as a virtual slave was sentenced Thursday to 28 years to life in prison.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,211599,00.html

Prosecutors and FBI agents said Al-Turki and his wife, Sarah Khonaizan, brought the now 24-year-old woman to Colorado to care for their five children and to cook and clean for the family. An affidavit said she spent four years with the family, sleeping on a mattress on the basement floor and getting paid less than $2 (euro1.56) a day.

[8D]I guess she made it all up....[:'(]

Al-Turki said he treated the woman the same way any observant Muslim family would treat a daughter.[:'(]

Al-Turki, a linguist who worked at a Denver publishing and translating company, also faces trial in federal court in October on charges of forced labor, document servitude and harboring an illegal immigrant.

Mr. Al-Towelhead apparently doesn't recognize US law , which deems slavery and rape to be offenses . Here's hoping they hang him by his nuts for a long time . The danger of recognizing Islam instead of law is that sooner or later you'll be sharing a cell with Bubba . No big loss .

Indeed, these people use their religion and old world sharia law to hide behind...ignorance of the laws in Saudi gets a foreigner executed right?

What bothers me and we see it here too, is guys like this moron ignore our laws and break ourlaws and then flaunt it as religious freedoms...

Muslims have Five Beliefs and Five Pillars of Practice and there is no sixth pillar or belief which states that Muslims have to practise fiqh [Muslim jurisprudence].

The argument is that to be a "good" Muslim one must live under Muslim family law, and that this is an issue of religious freedom or human rights. Although none of these statements is accurate, they may sound convincing to some.

I don't know anything about raghead laws, but I do know that certain behaviour is proscribed here in the USA regardless of what your religion is.
That sharia BS don't fly as religious freedom when it violates US civil or criminal law.

AMENDMENT 1
CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW RESPECTING AN ESTABLISHMENT OF RELIGION, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF; OR ABRIDGING THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH OR OF THE PRESS; OR THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE PEACEABLY TO ASSEMBLE, AND TO THE PETITION THE GOVERNMENT FOR A REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES.
