The escalating rhetoric came as the 10-day cease-fire was shaken by the deaths of three Lebanese soldiers killed defusing a missile and an Israeli killed by a land mine in south Lebanon.
And in the past, Syria has just done so well when they have actually gone up against Israel, even when backed by half the muslim world. I really wish that the U.S. troops had kept going toward Damascus.

We have one chance against Seria and Iraq and I doubt that it will ever happen. The only way to stop them from going to Nukes and supplying terrorist is to confront them head on with a force so overwhelming that the outcome is beyond question. I mean the U.s , Isreal, Great Britan, France Italy, Canada and every other country in the free world. One warning, then ashes. Its us or them. We can do it now or pay the price and it won't be pretty no matter what.
I DO! Elect me in '08 and I'll wipe clean the map of every evil, socialist, communist, passivist, cowardly, and liberalist nation!
Just kidding. You're exactly right Lanse- no one will do it. They'll all just sit around talking until it's too late. After that point, there'll be nothing we can do. So until then we might as well look forward to hunting season, because there won't be many more!

I'm not ready to take the .357, a fifth of Beam, & go to the cemetary to blow my brains out yet! Syria, imho, is coming to the realization that they are a target because Iran must use them as a conduit to supply Hezbollah. They may be happy about recent events; however, I think there are leaders there who know they could not stand up to Israel & definitely not the US. I do hope that the US takes a very hard-line stance against ANY nuclear plans of Iran.
In reading the article if Syria does part of what they say they will do if UN troops are on their borders it will be a very good thing for Lebanon and Isreal and very bad for Hezballa, they say they will close thier border with Lebanon, which means Hezballa can not be resupplied via Syria.

They've up'ed the ante, now Assad is saying that troops along the border would be considered an act of aggression...Syria is waking up to discover that their Iranian pals will roll them over first chance they get....Iran wants the entire region...Iran is using Syria to get to Israel and the US...
I bet Syria pulls something soon and Israel will nail them...but one thing should stop and that is western aid to Lenanon...
