Default Church a Sanctuary?

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/08/16/D8JHRKAO2.html

For many many years some countries would not go into a church and arrest a criminal, churches were and in some cases still are considered a safe house for those wanted by the government. This is not the case in the US though and never has been more then likely due to the church and state being seperate.

What are you alls thoughts on this?

My thoughts including raiding the church, arresting and deporting the illegal alien in question, and charging the church officials forconcealing a fugitive (a class 3 or 4 felony in most jurisdictions).

The Church is the Body of Jesus Christ. It has no physical location, nor is it confined to buildings, called "churches" . What are called "churches" today have nothing whatsoever to do with God. They are secular meeting houses, and inspirational centers that promote the teachings of man.

I say storm the doors, or do what is needed to flush out criminals who hide in them.

Pretty interesting. Curious how they promote the teachings of man. In the building we meet, we talk about Christand how we can be more like him and his teachings. Sounds like you might want to find a new building to meet if your promoting teachings of man. I highly suggest finding a building that promotes the teachings of Christ and a place you can help to hold up your fellow man..

She's a felon. Go in, drag her out, and throw her a$$ back across the border.

I find it amazing how these people have gone from being called "illegal aliens" to "undocumented migrants." Absolutely absurd. These are criminals and should be treated as such. They should not be given free health care, free education, or any other freebies. They should be arrested and thrown the hell out. If they want to come here so bad, get in the freaking line and wait your turn. We are being invaded and it will, eventually, destroy our country. Employers of illegals should be heavily fined, and our borders should be posted with machine guns... Also, U.S. citizenship should NOT be given automatically based on being born here. If the parent is here illegally, the kid should not be a U.S. citizen.

The Church should not be considered a sanctuary for a fugitive. Go in, get em' and bring em' out

I say wait until after services to arrest the individual. Why bust into the house of God and cause a ruckuss? If a church is knowingly harboring illegals that's a whole other situation.

As far as I'm concerned, wait until after service, then get the guy. I see no problem with that. Unless they're an immediate danger to the congregation (which at my church, he'd be absolutely moronic to try anything) wait until later.

That's the smarter thing to do anyways. Why make a scene? If a scene is made the motive behind it is purely political (of course everything is political nowadays.)

Wait for the wine to be passed out first. Then bust their butts.

Isn't there some kind of rule against disrupting a sermon?
