Thetown of North Hero Vermont which is also an island in Lake Champlain population 810. I have my wife, dog and guns. The jet stream comes from Canada so the fallout shouldn't be too severe. Since our enemy would probably be Middle Eastern it will be easy for me to figure out if we are being invaded. I live in the 2nd whitest state in the union and there is only 1 non Caucasian living on my Island and he is a Hawaiian or Polynesian type. I have a clear and unobstructed view to the west. If they try to make a beach front invasion I"™ll cut them down until the lake runs red.

NY city is 6 hoursaway and over 300 miles to the south. Prevailing wind fromnorth west so it will all blow out to sea.Upstate NY is only 2 1/2 miles away so I'll be able to see them coming and as much as I hate to I'll shoot them in the water. I know..I know it isn't sporting but this is war.

safe zone? you fine gentlemens can come on up here, we'll BBQ roast beast and prepare for the journey to Tangozulu's neck of the woods near Yukon border, the elk hunting is good, bring plenty of ammo...
I don't know if I'd really consider any state "safe." Getting away from the major population centers would be good. The best thing is to continue the war on terror, ramp it up, nullify the influence of Iran's radicals, destroy utterly the islamic terror organizations, & continue the terrorist surveillance & other measures we're doing now. It's kept up pretty safe so far; however, it would only take 1 or 2 terrorist plots to suceed in making a huge mess. Balling up in an isolationistic cocoon & being on the total defensive would be a monumental mistake, as history shows repeatedly.
