Default U.S.: Iraqi Shiites Get Help From Iran

BAGHDAD, Iraq "”The U.S. military has evidence that Shiite extremists in Iraq are receiving arms and training from Iran, but it is not clear if the Iranian government is involved, a U.S. spokesman said Monday.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,208254,00.html

"We know that some Shiite elements have been in Iran receiving training," U.S. military spokesman Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell told reporters. "But the degree to which it is known and endorsed by the government of Iran is uncertain."

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - There is no evidence the Iranian government is stirring trouble in Iraq, a U.S. general said on Monday, playing down suggestions that Tehran will retaliate for U.S. backing of Israel's war on Hizbollah.
"There is nothing that we definitively have found to say that there are any Iranians operating within the country of Iraq," Major General William Caldwell, the top U.S. military spokesman in Iraq, told a news conference.

But then again, this was said about WMD in Iraq,, and then being spun around to,, they did have the material to make a mushroom cloud that could reach us in 45 minutes....They was correct the first time when they said Iraq wasn't a threat to us and wasn't producing these weapons any more..But some how they went with they are makin these weapons and they have the chemicals to make this mushroom cloud...

Bush said Hezbollah and its supporters in Iran and Syria were responsible for the 34-day war, and called that conflict "part of a broader struggle between freedom and terror." (Watch Bush blame Hezbollah, Iran and Syria for the crisis -- 2:06)
Bush said the U.N. resolution that took effect early Monday was an "important step that will help bring an end to the violence."

"How can you claim victory when you were a state within a state in southern Lebanon, and now you're going to be replaced by an international force?" he said.

A bully is an odd person. The bully exacts fear, and intimidation as he goes about his daily acts of picking on the weakest target, yet when the weak targets form a co-op and attack the bully, the bully becomes enraged at the fact that the objects of his abuse would dare fight back.

The US military said this morning that they are finding new weapons in Iraq that were recently made in Iran. Syria and Iran are the catalyst for much of the unrest in the Middle East. I really wish we would get out of the region but it now is clear to me that the minute weleave those two rogue countries will start to move against their neighbors from within. Look how Hesbollah took over Lebanon and Hamas Gaza. Both organizations hold public office and virtually control the governments. Fundamentalist Islam is like a cancer and we will be forced to deal with them sooner or later. I feel it is only a matter of time before they do something on a really large scale against the west. They have the will and certainly the ways to get it done. Their hatred for anyone non Muslim is reality. Perhaps Bush knows more than people give him credit for.

When someone speaks in generalities it's usually because their viewpoint in uncertain. If a hornet builds a nest too close to my cottage front door the result is not good for either of us, however relocating the hornets is not an option so I have no option but to remove the nest.

oh yeah here's another one...an ice cream cone covered in chocolate and nuts does not last too long in the desert before it melts....after a while it just leaves you holding an empty cone full of nuts

Are we not the ones to blame for most the east to hate us and the unrest??? We sell modern arms and rockets to Israel ..We sell arms to turkey, We helped Suddam defeat Iran by paying for their weapons along with air support to take outIrans navel fleet, along with intelligence to Iraq.... What about when muslims find US made weapons are in the hands of their enemy?? Of course they are goanna hate us for supplying them and helping them fight.. We are considered to be against them then...

Your fighting someone and a by stander throws your opponent a pipe and gets involved...Are you goanna declare him your enemy??? Of course you are..The fight was between you and who ever...
