A Good Philosophy

If you find yourself starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity about our government and its policies, we should remember England's Prime Minister, Tony Blair's words to his own people. During a recent interview, Prime Minister Blair was asked by a member of parliament why he believes so much in America. And does he think America is on the right track?

Blair's reply --

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... and how many want out!"

That's pretty much how I've always guaged it , you don't see many people beating down Cuba's door to get in unless they're hijacking a plane at the time .

Just because more immigrants want in doesn't imply it's a better country, it just might indicate there's more corruption to be had [8D] with less restriction [:@] ...

Funny how if you dont agree with everything the government does your anti american.I always thought that was why we had a democracy, so the people could decide things for themselves.

Blair makes a very good point. Also there is a difference between anti american sentiment and being anti america. It seems that it is often forgotten that sentiment can run both ways. I bless those who support us and tolerate those who don't. TO A POINT!

It's not just "illegal entrants" who want to come here - people from around the earth want to come here because the US is the land of freedom & opportunity. We see evidence of what is possible through freedom& opportunity everyday, from those who come from other countries & those born here.
