Captured Hezbollah militant spills beans

Anyone else see that cnn report about the video taped released by the Israeli's showing this captured Hezbollah fighter revealing hegot histraining in Iran and that his/their mission was to capture and imprision Israeli soldiers?

Did anyone hearif this guy was Iranian or not?

I don't watch CNN, but it's no secret whatsoever than Iran has trained, funded, and equipped Hezbollah's militants for over a decade. These guys aren't runningaround inbands of disorganized jihadis--they're a disciplined and well-armed military force to be taken seriously.

Just as the Soviets fought usby proxy in Korea, Vietnam, and other small conflictsduring the Cold War, Iran is fighting Israel in much the same way now.

I'm really trying to follow the logic on this one but it doesn't seem to be quite there.

Yeah, like we need any more reasons to go to war with Iran....

Iran doesn't want all out war with us--they'd prefer to sit by safe and secure as their minions do it for them.

Come on, Tehran has been paying and training terrorist groups to kill Americans since 1979--remember the embassy takeover, Beirut, Khobar Towers, or the Cole by chance?

You need to minimizethe Internet conspiracy theory pages and look at the plain facts. Globalsecurity.org would be a good place to start....

Aught six, I've been to that site several times, it is very informative.

I agree that the Hezbollah are using Iranian weapons and training, there may be some Iranian soldiers there in Lebanon and Iraq as well.

Israel just expanded it's ground mission, I hope theycatch the militants fleeing into Syria and begin bombing there too.

The timing of this was escalated to coincide with political happenings in the US. Iran and Syria were hoping the US would run to Lebanon and leave Iraq. Iran will move into Iraq from the East and Syria would move in from the west,if the US leaves now or anytime soon.

Has anyone noticed Iran or Syria complaining to any high degree?

Here's an Idea, havea new Iraqi (shiite) army push into Syria to help Lebanon.
