The 31-year-old Muslim of Pakistani descent was angry at Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, officials said.
"This was a crime of hate, and there's no place for that in the city of Seattle," Mayor Greg Nickels said.

I am sorry greg,,But hatecrime is everywhere and even in your city...Your just looking at this one specific episode...How many white people and black people get killed every year because of hate crimes in your city?? And you write it off as drug related and the real cause is hate crime... Now everytime a jew gets killed it's goanna be a hate crime even if it was drug related...Label it because of their ethnic back ground now... Would this be a hate crime if we wasn't at war in the east??????? Nope...
aquafin not to burst your bubble, but war or no war, when a Muslim kills a Jew just because they are Jewish, that is a hate crime.
A white killing a black simply because they are black is a hate crime and vice versa.
There are a ton of crimes commited by whites against blacks and vice versa that do not have a thing to do with race, there is far more violence linked to drugs and drinking then there are to hate.
Hate crime is not as common as some folks would lead others to beleive, do not get me wrong, there is plenty of hate crimes here in the US, but not nearly the amount of it that the media and the liberals would like folks to beleive.

I always love these comments from politicians. Like the hate aspect of this was the thing they don't want in Seattle.
If you shoot seven people because you are just an *******, fine, but if you hate them, please do your shooting in Tacoma - there's no place for hate in Seattle.
Thank you. Love, the Mayor

I know what you mean. Back when all this "hate crime" language was all getting established, the dragging death of James Byrd happened in Jasper Texas. Bush was getting flack simply for the fact that it happened in his state, and he was the republican running for election. Bush was painted almost as the guy who was driving the truck, and forced to answer questions in debate conscerning hate crime legislation. This was really funny, because the same people were criticising him for the fact that Texas leads the nation in actually implementing the death penalty.
In those debates, I wanted Bush the answer those morons like this.
Those guys who drug Mr. Byrd to his death all recieved a sentance of death (in a state were that means something). Since this is a hate crime, should we pull out their finger nails before we give the injection?
