The rest of the world has little choice in the matter unless they stamp it out NOW. These people have attack almost everywhere in the world in the last several years. Thats why Newt says its already the start of a world war. This is an enemy that is real. Its organized and its intentions are clear. They want to run the world their way and they have no limits to which they will not go. How many think that Iran and North Korea will hesitate to use Nukes as soon as they are able? What would North Korea have to loose?. Both of these countries will soon have nuclear capability and the means to deliver the load to the US mainland. WHO wants to wait for this to happen????? We had better take charge and put an end to this garbage now. Join Isreal and whoever has has the spine and the brains to see whats happening.

Back when the USSR was our main concern, the knowledge by both sides that either could wipe out the other was a big deterent. This is not the case now. Many of this enemy lives amoung us and have no ties to a specific government. Bush had it right when he went after the terrorist but now I believe he has lost the will to carry it through. Mostly because of lack of support from half the spinless worms in this country and allies like France. We can do it now or have it done to us later. Thats the only options that I can see.

Yes, Canuck, I am serious. The potential is there right under our noses. This is how it happens...a confluence of events, not one single problem or event.

The players are all involved, China supporting N Korea, Russia supplying Iran with weapons, Iran most likely supplying the nutbag/martyrs that are lobbing rockets into a nation that, unlike America, has the stones to be direct and indiscriminate, when attacked. Oh and dont forget the US marching on Iraq with questionable motives. Add the potential for thermonuclear capacity to the mix and the obvious mandate to do whatever is required to whomever to stop said nuclear threat and you've got yourself a global fistfight.

What JamesB said in quotes above is ominous and poignant. It is all the difference in the world. Nations that should fear us do not because they do not fear death; they are willing to sacrifice anyone and everyone, including their own to meet their twisted objectives. It is a formula for escalation.

I have a strong feeling that due to the rest of the Arab world, with the exceptions of Iran and Syria condeming the actions of Hezballa, that we will see WWIII.

I would concur that this could become something very major if the rest of the Arab world was up in arms about this, but it is strictly the trash of the Arab world making a stink.

I would bet money that if the Liberals best friend Sadaam was still in charge of Iraq that he would have joined in the fray!
